Little Miss and the Bed

As promised, my little girl and our bed.

It started out simple enough. My girl likes to snuggle. She's a dog, so this isn't entirely surprising: puppies sleep in what is often referred to as "puppy piles"- piled up into each other with minimal (if any) consideration for personal space. I personally suspect that dogs have exactly zero concept of personal space, anyway! "What's personal space? I need to sniff your everything..." and suddenly there's a nose in your... You get the picture.

When it was just her and me, I kept a towel on the bed to help contain her fur.

It didn't always work because.. well she wanted to see me and also dogs and personal space. Gotta love her!

And once she and I moved into my husband's home, she wanted to snuggle with him as well. He works nights, sleeps during the day... And she has become quite proprietary about sleeping next to him!

In the meantime, she has also become a little (LOT) entitled to sleeping on the bed altogether!

We gave her her own blanket and pillow... Ok, so she kinda commandeered it.

But she still prefers Mommy and Daddy's bed!

*Note: At this moment, I'm chilling in bed writing because that's what you do when you wake up way too early and don't want to get up. And guess where Little Miss is... Yup, in my hip pocket! She's curled up against my side.
