A friend recently posted something on social media about the right vs the wrong. Not right vs left, or rights vs oppression. Right vs wrong.
Flat-earth vs geometry and observable science.
Transgender vs objective observable genetics.
"FemeNazis" vs gender equity.
BLM vs racial equity and justice and "false traditions."
State-managed services vs private organizations.
Evidence shows that the second option in all of these is.. well, right. Whether it's facts and reality or what is more effective and honest, right is right.
Check out this VIDEO! I wish I could post it here directly, but that isn't an option.
The problem is that there are enough people on the wrong side (both morally and factually) that are loud enough-- they end up drowning out the moral and factual right. They throw a temper tantrum- filing lawsuits, crying to the news media, etc, and making the issues a zero-sum game. And the factual/moral right is shamed into silence.
There's been a move the last four years (thanks to our current president) that has made it a little more acceptable to stand up for right, truth, and equity. I think it's a fine balance between standing up for what you know is right... and still being kind. Some cry, "Oh, that's the pot calling the kettle black!" But the thing people don't want to admit is that it really doesn't matter who is calling the kettle black...
Because the kettle is still black.
