We've Come a Long Way, Baby!

Before my time, there was a cigarette company, Virginia Slims, that was marketed exclusively toward women. Their slogan was, "We've come a long way, Baby!"

I'm not a fan of cigarettes, but the slogan.. There are a lot of ways women have come a long way in our rights and in cultural allowances.

Here's a short list of some of the rights we've gained over the last couple hundred years, in no particular order.

Consider how life would be different if these legal changes had not been made.

There are so many things I want to say about these laws. And these are just in the last 200 years. I may take each point and write up something about them. Yeah, that'd take me a while, but I'm ok with that.
